technology toolbox
The Department of Instructional Technology encourages all teachers and students to use a variety of technology tools in order to create, examine and assess learning. There are a plethora of tools available and it is important to understand not only how those tools work, but the privacy and legal implications of using these tools. Teachers, students and parents all need to know the age at which students can use web-based resources, what sites are doing with their personal information and if permission is required before using the site or service.
Below are several suggested tools and sites we encourage all teachers and students to use, when appropriate. These sites have been reviewed by district staff and are categorized by age and if parental permission is needed.
