The logo of Pine Whispers has changed....as has the format of the student publication. Traci Latta (the super RJR teacher that oversees both Pine Whispers and the annual yearbook), told us that "the new logo was born out of a week long course (she) took at UNC this summer. Initially, it was for the website, which also sports the new logo, but in order to keep the publication consistent across the board, we applied it to the print edition as well. The new broadsheet format will enable us to include more stories , photographs and advertising than the tabloid edition previously did. We also went to a two section paper in order to include a Submissions page and Arts section to showcase what we create as a magnet school. The new logo was born out of a week long course (she) took at UNC this summer.
