Course Descriptions:

Algebra 2:  Algebra 2 requires students to make an in-depth study of the number systems to solve equations and inequalities in both real and complex numbers.  Algebra skills are applied to linear, quadratic, and logarithmic functions.  Emphasis will be place on algebraic application and graphing techniques with and without a calculator.

IB Math Studies:  This course consists of eight topics:  1) Introduction of graphic display calculator,  2) Numbers and algebra,  3) Sets, logic, and probability,  4) Functions,  5) Geometry and trigonometry,  6) Statistics,  7) Introductory differential calculus, and  8) Financial mathematics.  As part of the International Baccalaureate program, this course, within the curriculum of mathematics, follows the mission of developing intellectual, personal, emotional, and social skills to live, learn, and work in a rapidly globalizing world.
