  • 2012-2013 Schedule Released

    North Forsyth opens its 2012-2013 basketball season on the road, traveling to Glenn to play the Bobcats on Tuesday, November 20th.  The Vikings' first game at Cartwright Gymnasium will be on Tuesday, November 27th vs. Atkins in an endowment game.
     
    Other schedule highlights include a home-and-home series with Reagan and participation in the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic.  Conference play begins on January 11th at Asheboro, and Senior Night will be held on Friday, February 15th versus Southwest Randolph.

  • North Forsyth Advances in First Round of Playoffs

    Michael Chambers had 16 points as North Forsyth won over Hickory Ridge in a first round playoff game, 82-69.

    The Vikings made 71% of their field goal attempts and 37 total field goals made.

    Kedrick Flomo had 14 points, and Rayshawn Speas added 15.

  • North Loses in Tournament Final on Late Bucket, 54-42 to NE Guilford

    North Forsyth fell just short against the Northeast Guilford Rams, 54-52. After tying the game with 6 seconds to go, the Vikings gave up a late basket to lose by two.  With the loss, North Forsyth falls to 21-4 for the season.

    Rashawn Speas, Edward Valentine and Kedrick Flomo had double digit scoring games. Valentine and Flomo also contributed both 5 assists.

    Throughout the game, the Vikings kept a close scoring game each quarter. North Forsyth outscored the Rams in both the 2nd and 3rd quarter and just fell short in the 4th.

  • Vikings Defeat Ledford in First Round of Conference Tourney

    North Forsyth won over the Panthers 90-72 last Wednesday in a bout that advanced their record 21-3 for the season. 

    Michael Chambers, Trenard Alexander and Kedrick Flomo combined for 43 points. Edward Valentine contributed 4 assists.

    By the 2nd, the Vikings had outscored the Panthers by 10 and continued to blow them away by outscoring them through the game.

  • North Forsyth Captures Conference Title With 67-49 Over Southwestern Randolph

    North Forsyth finished the regular season as conference champions by virtue of a 67-49 win at Southwestern Randolph.  The win means that both the boys and girls conference tournaments will be held at Cartwright Gymnasium next week.  The Vikings will be the top seed on the boys side.
     
    Michael Chambers led all scorers with 21 points.  Kedrick Flomo chipped in with 16.

  • Vikings Down Ledford on Senior Night, 88-77

    Kedrick Flomo had 16 points and 7 assists as North Forsyth beat Ledford 88-77 on Senior Night.
     
    Prior to the game, seniors Dion Fowler, DeAnthony Miles, Rayshawn Speas, Edward Valentine and Daniel Woodruff were honored as they took the court at Cartwright Gym for their final regular season game.
     
    Valentine added 14 points and 4 rebounds for the Vikings.

  • North Forsyth Falls to Northeast Guilford, 63-50

    Northeast Guilford rallied from an 8 point halftime deficit to defeat North Forsyth 63-50 in McLeansville, giving the Vikings their first conference loss.
     
    Kedrick Flomo had 11 points and 9 rebounds, and Michael Chambers added 12 points in the losing effort.

  • Vikings Dominate Southern Guilford, 95-47

    Michael Chambers had 24 points and 8 rebounds as North Forsyth dominated Southern Guilford, 95-47.
     
    Every player on North Forsyth's roster scored at least 2 points, as the Vikings shot 45% from the field and hit 11 shots from beyond the arc.  
     
    Daniel Woodruff contributed 13 points and 6 rebounds and Kedrick Flomo had 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

  • North Squeaks by Asheboro, 53-51

    Rayshawn Speas had 10 points and 8 rebounds as the Vikings came from behind to beat Asheboro, 53-51.
     
    The Vikings entered the fourth quarter trailing by six, but outscored the Comets 15-7 to escape with the win.  Despite shooting just 32% from the field, the Vikings had three players that scored in double digits: Speas, Kedrick Flomo (14 points ) and Edward Valentine (10 points).

  • North Forsyth Rolls Ledford, 89-59

    Michael Chambers had a season-high 32 points and 11 rebounds as North Forsyth ran out to a dominating 89-59 win over Ledford.  The Vikings scored at least 23 points in three of the four quarters, knocking down 10 3-point shots during the game.
     
    Kedrick Flomo helped the winning effort with 14 points and 6 rebounds.
