NCEXTEND 1 : This alternate assessment was developed to assess students with significant cognitive disabilities on the grade-level North Carolina Standard Course of Study Extended Content Standards in reading and math at grades 3-8 and 10; science at grades 5,8, and 10; and writing at grade 10.
NCEXTEND 2 : This state assessment is an alternate assessment for EC students who are following the Standard Course of Study but have Persistent Academic Delays. Students participating in this assessment receive scores based on modified achievement standards.
