Marc Schaub, Director of Bands
 
 
Marc Schaub is the Director of Bands at Mount Tabor High School, where he directs the Symphonic, Concert & Jazz Bands as well as the Marching Spartans.  He holds degrees in Music Education from the University of Georgia (BMus, 2001) and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (MM, 2003).  Prior to coming to Mount Tabor in 2008, Mr. Schaub was the Director of Bands at Davie County High School in Mocksville, NC where he was selected Teacher of the Year in 2007.   During the 2010-2011 school year, Mr. Schaub was the Interim Eighth Grade Band Director at Thomas Jefferson Middle School .

Mr. Schaub has conducted bands at the UNCG Summer Music Camp and was an Instrumental Music Instructor at The Governor's School of North Carolina (East Campus) in 2008 & 2009.  He has played in several groups in the Triad area, including the Piedmont Wind Symphony and the Mountain Street Trio.  From 2001-2003 he was a graduate assistant for the UNC Greensboro Bands, Carolina Band Festival & Conductors Conference, and the Summer Music Camp. 

Mr. Schaub is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the North Carolina Music Educators Association, the National Band Association and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  He has served as Chair of the Forsyth County Band Directors Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Northwest North Carolina Bandmasters Association.
