Driving Eligibility Certificate Information Congratulations on completing Driver's Education! Before you go to Motor Vehicle to get your driving permit, you will need to get a NC Driving Eligibility Certificate from the Guidance Office. To request a certificate be issued, bring the student’s Driver Education Certificate and birth certificate to the Guidance Office. North Carolina State law requires students under the age of 18 to have adaquete academic progress to be eligible to obtain and keep a driving permit or license. Eligibility forms require a parent signature. Parents can either come to Guidance to sign the form or have their student bring the partially completed form home to be signed and then bring it back to Guidance to be completed and sealed. |
