Delray Sylvester Hartsfield taught Industrial Arts at Atkins High School for 20 years. He left Atkins to become Assistant Principal of the newly established Career Center. Mr. Hartsfield specialized in brick masonry. He was a dedicated community servant working with local Boy Scouts, his church, and community. He spent his time assisting young men in the community to become productive assets to society. He was married to Doris S. Hartsfield for over 50 years and was the proud father of the Honorable Denise Hartsfield. |  |
