Attention Parents:
If you see a 50 in your child's gradebook, this indicates that the assignment was not submitted.
If you see a 51 in your child's gradebook, this indicates that the student earned a grade below 51 and the grade was subsequently changed so as not to skew their average.
Summer reading lists for each grade level are available on the Atkins High School website.
Attention Parents and Students:
Classroom policy states that all late work will have a 10 pt. per day deduction. Once the work is 5 days late a 50 will be automatically and permanently substituted for the grade.
While this may also be a difficult adjustment for some students, it teaches valuable lessons regarding accountability, responsibility and time management.
