Register TODAY to shop for the supplies you'll need this quarter.

Classroom teachers in the Winston-Salem / Forsyth County School system are allowed to "shop" at the Educator Warehouse.  Teachers must register in advance for a specific day and time. Please bring shopping bags for your supplies.

Who Can Shop?
WS/FCS classroom teachers are allowed visit up to four times per school year but no more than once per quarter.  The quarters are August 1 - November 2; November 3 - January 18; and February 19 - March 27; April 5 - May 31.  Administrators, central office personnel, curriculum coordinators, media specialists, and other similar staff members cannot shop at the Warehouse.

When Can I Shop?
The Warehouse is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:30 PM (on scheduled school days), and the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 9:00 - 11:00 AM.  Advance registration is required.   Please note - if school or after-school activities are canceled due to inclement weather, the Warehouse will also be closed.

Where Is the Educator Warehouse?
It is located in a pod behind Diggs-Latham Elementary School near Peter's Creek Parkway between Business 40 and I-40.  Directions

What type of items are available at the Warehouse?
The Educator Warehouse is stocked with thousands of new and gently-used classroom supplies and teacher resources donated by the community and local businesses.  Pencils, pens, crayons, markers, paper, spiral notebooks, binders, files, folders, lesson plan idea books, bulletin board decorations, name cards, giant picture books, math manipulatives, writing guides, science books, class decorations, and so much more!  Supplies are intended for classroom use only.

Is there a limit to what I can get?
Yes.  To ensure all WS/FCS classroom teachers have an opportunity to shop for these classroom supplies, each teacher is allowed to receive up to 25 points of merchandise per visit.  All items in the Warehouse have a point value ranging from 1 - 25 points.  Because supplies are limited, we ask teachers to please be mindful of other teachers' needs when shopping.  Please only take what is needed for your classroom for that quarter.

How many teachers can shop each day?
To keep from getting too crowded at any given time, we allow ten (10) teachers per hour to shop in the Warehouse.  All teachers are asked to shop only during their designated hour, so be sure to arrive on time!  Because there are a limited number of spots open for each day, please do not make a reservation if you are not a classroom teacher.

How do I register to shop?
Go to the Teacher Registration Calendar page and click on the date for which you wish to register. Choose your date carefully as you only have one visit per quarter.

What do I do if I need to cancel or change my appointment?
If you must change or cancel your appointment, email the Warehouse Manager at least 2 days in advance to allow other teachers an opportunity to sign up.  Teachers who do not cancel at least 2 days in advance will forfeit their opportunity to shop for that quarter.

What do I need to bring with me when I shop?

Please bring your WS/FCS ID badge and the confirmation e-mail you received when you registered.  There's no need to bring any money since everything is FREE!

Who can I contact with other questions?
E-mail Warehouse Manager Karel Chandler with questions or call Karel at 336-817-1673 .  The Educator Warehouse does not have phone service.
