Re: Senior Day, February 24, 2012

In order to prepare you for graduation, Mr. Telford, Mrs. Ebert, and I have planned a day of senior-related events for February 24. Senior Day will be your opportunity to fulfill several duties you have as a senior. To celebrate your senior year, we will be having a Senior Breakfast in the cafeteria just after school starts. Afterwards, we will break into groups to attend a series of five sessions. In one of those sessions, you will take your cap and gown pictures. The day will end before 3:40, and you will be dismissed. Please prepare for Senior Day by reviewing the dress code and preparing all you will need to bring to school with you as listed below.

Dress Code for Senior Day:

Men

Women

Wear a white button-down dress shirt, a tie (one that will look good with your green cap and gown), nice khakis or dress pants, socks, and dress shoes.

Wear a nice dress or outfit with a wide-necked top (so it won’t show in the picture), and nice jewelry.

Wear shoes with a back-strap. No flip-flops allowed.

Do Not Wear UGGs, boat shoes, tennis shoes, flip flops, Birkenstocks, combat boots, jeans, or cargo pants.

Senior Fee – $30 – includes cap, gown, and tassel

You may pay your senior fee online for the reduced price of $29.64 (includes service charge) via the online school payments link in the left-hand menu on the West Forsyth website. First-time users will need to register for an account. The last day to pay online and receive this special price is March 4. Click here to visit the online payment page.

What to Bring on Senior Day:

If you do not pay your senior fee online, you will pay on Senior Day. If you do not pay your senior fee on Senior Day and do not plan to pay online, you must bring your money to Mrs. Stiller in the office. Make checks payable to West Forsyth High School and place your student number on your check.

  1. $30 to pay your senior fee. Make checks payable to West Forsyth High School and place your student number on the check.
  2. Money to pay for your cap and gown pictures. You will receive a packet before Senior Day. Fill it out and enclose your check payable to Lifetouch Photography. Write your English teacher’s name (or CC for Career Center, FT for Forsyth Tech) on the packet.
  3. A book or magazine to read while you wait at each station and a pencil or pen.
