Class Expectations

In 4th grade, we have four "Learning Laws" that all students are expected to abide by in order to make their time in class as positive and productive as possible.  They are:
- Be prepared.
- Be on-task.
- Be respectful.
- Be honest.

Our FISH philosophy, Ward Elementary's positive behavior system, is also something we strive to embody every day.  While at school, we must exhibit:
Friendship
Integrity
Safety
Hard work

Consequences
When students choose not to follow the rules, they must face the consequences of their actions.  The consequence heirarchy in our classroom is as follows:
- Warning
- 15 minute walk at recess
- 30 minute walk at recess
- Note/call home
- Office referral
*A student can automatically be referred to the office in instances of physical violence, repeated disrespect/defiance, or bullying.

Homework Expectations and Consequences
Students are expected to complete all homework assigned each night.  If they do not complete all homework assigned, they will walk bus lines at recess.
