I am...

Mr. Rick Jasso.  This will be my tenth year teaching at East Forsyth High School.  This year I will be teaching Human Anatomy and Physiology (Regular and Honors) and Biology (Regular and Honors).

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas a long time ago.  I've lived in North Carolina since February 1994 when I was transferred to Camp Lejeune, NC.  I retired from the U.S. Navy in July of 2001 after almost 22 years of service. My occupation was Hospital Corpsman...aka, Combat Medic.  The last seven years of my military career were spent with the U.S. Marine Corps and the last four of those seven years were teaching combat medicine.  I hold a  Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management from Southern Illinois University and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. I am licensed by the State of North Caronlina to teach General Sciences.

I've been married now for 31 years.  My wife is a Nurse working for a private practice with Novant Health Systems.  We have three children.  Our oldest son (a general manager for Kohl's Department Stores) is married and they have a son and a daughter.  Our second son, a 2003 graduate of East (a police officer at UNCG), is also married and they have two daughters.  Our youngest is our 16 year old daughter who is now a Junior here at East Forsyth High School.

I am extremely happy to be here again...at East Forsyth High School.  I look forward to serving you in your educational needs.  I am available in the mornings and afternoons for tutoring.  Please go through my website.  You will find many useful links and plenty of information to answer your questions as the year progresses.  As with all websites, check back frequently, or subscribe through RSS.  My website will change often.
