Community Based Inclusion

Our Community Based Inclusion (CBI) program gives our students an opportunity to access the community for various activities.  Our CBI program allows our students to travel inside Forsyth County for exploration and fun! Teachers plan CBI outings on an individual or team basis to provide real life experiences for our students.

Community Based Training

The purpose of community-based training is to offer students enrolled in exceptional education the opportunity to train at an actual work site.  These real life work settings offer work-based learning which cannot be provided in a traditional school environment.  Just like most people, our students learn best by doing.

Community-based training is an integral part of the functional curriculum for high school students with varying degrees of abilities.  The interests, abilities, and past experiences of each student are used to determine the type of vocational training that would be most beneficial.

We thank the following business partners who are making a difference for our students....
