CROCS GO GREEN

Our mascot, Caleb, needs your help!   You can help Calebs Creek Crocs go green and grow some green by:

  1. Collect Terracycling items at home.
  2. Clean and empty these items and send them in!

We get 2 cents back per item that we send in to the Terracycle Company.  This money will be used by the PTA to fund projects like picnic tables, raised beds for gardening, additional playground & blacktop equipment, take-home readers, listening centersthe list of great things we can do with the green we get back from the company is endless!

Terracycling is very similar to the Box Tops For Education program all you have to do to participate is empty and clean the items you already have at home and send them to school with your child.  For every five items you save, this is the equivalent of one Box Top.  In the first month of school, we have already collected more than 500 Juice Pouches in the cafeteria, earning the school the equivalent of $5.  This may seem like a small number, but as more students start saving the other items from their lunches and bring in items from home our school can earn several hundred dollars this year!

See below for a list of the various items you can save and send in.  Post this information on your fridge or near your recycling bin as a reminder!  We will collect items in the cafeteria, the base of the stairs near the school store, and through the classroom teachers.
