Our Classroom Discipline Plan

CLASSROOM RULES:

In our classroom we will be using the 4 "R-U's" as our guide to great behavior:

1. R-U paying attention and participating in class?

2. R-U accepting responsibility for your own actions?

3. R-U respecting yourself and others?

4. R-U using your time wisely to complete all work?

At the beginning of the school year, we will do lots of brainstorming and modeling to help your child understand what is meant by these expectations. We also emphasize the ideals of working as a team and doing your personal best at all times.

REWARDS:

$   Individuals who stay on "Great Day" earn a dime to spend at the class store.

$   Students who are "caught being good" earn a "good egg" with a reward inside.

$   The class earns a popcorn party /ice cream party after receiving 30 compliments.

CONSEQUENCES: (Each child starts the day on Green for Great Day!)

1.  Move to Yellow - Warning

2.  Move to Orange -Walk 10 minutes at recess time

3.  Move to Red - Note, phone call or Princial/Discipline Referral

Severe disruptive behavior will result in immediate phone call to parent and an office referral to the principal or assistant principal.

Check your child's homework sheet each night for a behavior update. If your child is on purple, green, or yellow, we consider that a good or acceptable day. If your child is on orange or red, please remind them to follow the rules. Disruptive behavior affects everyone's right to learn. Thank you for your support at home in this area!
