Meet your fearless leader, Stephanie Messer!
I've been teaching Commercial Art here at the Career Center since 2007. In my life BCC (before Career Center), I was a Graphic Designer, Art Director, Newspaper Reporter, Photographer, Pre-School Art Teacher, Professional Tortise Walker, Small Alligator Wrestler/Photographer, and Cat Herder (no, really! I WAS a newspaper reporter!)
I grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from Mt. Tabor High School. I even attended Career Center my senior year for AP English and Biology. Western Carolina University was the place for me to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography and Printmaking, and a minor in Journalism.
After college, I moved around a bit - Virginia to Minnesota (and nah - it's not THAT cold up there!) to Florida (and yes - it IS that hot down there!). But I really did all those things I said I did - just ask me to tell you about them sometime!
