In School Suspension instructors hope to help students take responsibility for their actions and alter their behavior to avoid future incidents. Students are required to complete character-building exercises and to complete their regular class assignments that are sent to ISS by their classroom teachers. We provide a quiet, orderly atmosphere so the students can complete their work without interruptions or distractions. Additionally, ISS instructors spend one-on-one time with the students, helping them to make decisions that will benefit them in the future.
