The National Academic League team is for any student in Years I, II, and III who wants to demonstrate their academic abilities. The team practices start in the fall and competitions are held in January and February. Paisley competes against other middle schools from the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System.

The NAL team will begin meeting on Thursday 25 October in room 227 (Mr. Loftis). The meetings will be practices for NAL meets.
What is NAL? (What does NAL do?)
NAL stands for National Academic League. It is an organization that was formed in 1991 by a former Dept. of Education chairperson and promotes academic competition between students and schools.
When is NAL held?
NAL practices begins in October and actual meets or competitions between schools begins in January and ends in March. The championship is held from March until April every year.
Where is NAL held?
The meets are held at individual schools and students travel as a group to the school(s) for each meet.
Who can attend NAL? (high school, middle school, or both?)
NAL is designed for Middle school students (Years I, II, and III).
Are there any upcoming events for NAL in October or November?
NAL will begin practices in late October when announcements will be made for students at Paisley to join. We will practice on Thursday afternoons in Room 227 (Mr. Loftis's room- end room on the Year I hall)
