Volunteer Guidelines and Needs

There are numerous volunteer opportunities available.  There is something to fit everyone's schedule.  Volunteers will be needed for one-time jobs, daily, weekly and monthly jobs.  Some of the opportunities available include (but are not limited to!): running the school store, tutoring children, assisting in the media center, helping with school pictures and the book fair.  Click here to complete Hanes Volunteer Opprotunities Form and return it to your child's homeroom teacher.

You can register as a volunteer online at: http://intranet.wsfcs.k12.nc.us/Public.nsf/Volunteers?OpenForm.  If you have children in other schools, you can add up to three schools on one form.  You need only complete the Level I section of the application.  Level II is only needed for volunteers going on overnight field trips. 

If you registered as a volunteer last school year, either at Hanes or another school, you do not need to do so again.  Hanes' volunteers only need to complete the volunteer opportunity form.  Volunteers from other schools need to complete the volunteer opportunity form AND a transfer form.  Transfer forms are available online and once completed, should be returned to your child's homeroom teacher.
