Employee Organizations
All employees are encouraged to become active in employee organizations and the PTA/PTSA at the school where they work or their child's school.
Forsyth County Association of Educators (FCAE)
FCAE is an affiliate of the N.C. Association of Educators and the National Education Association. Membership is open to all employees with direct payment and payroll deduction options for dues. Representatives from each school or division meet at 4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month.

Forsyth Federation of Teachers
The Forsyth Federation of Teachers is the local affiliate of the North Carolina Federation of Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT). It represents teachers and paraprofessional staff and promotes educational enhancement.

State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC)
The State Employees Association of North Carolina is committed to protecting and enhancing the rights and benefits of current, retired and future state employees. Employees are the most important of state government's resources. Therefore, state salaries must remain competitive and state government working conditions must remain of the highest quality in order for North Carolina to attract and retain the best employees. SEANC's purpose includes ensuring these ideals. Membership is open to all employees. Monthly dues may be payroll deducted. Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Retired School Personnel
RSP is a unit of North Carolina Retired Personnel, an organization which is dedicated to providing retirement with dignity, promoting quality public education, and advocating for the rights of retired and active school personnel.

International Reading Association
IRA is dedicated to improving reading instruction and promoting lifetime reading habits. The organization responds to changing times while striving toward a common goal, excellence through literacy.

WS/FC Association for Childhood Education International
"ACE" promotes interest in children from early childhood to adolescence, including all aspects of a childs development physical, mental, emotional and social.

WS/FC Association of Educational Office Professionals

NC Public School Maintenance Association
The association provides superior standards operating and maintaining school buildings and grounds and promotes high standards of professionalism among members.

Bus Drivers Association
The association promotes safe, timely transportation of students and supports the betterment of schools and the general welfare of school bus drivers.

North Carolina Pupil Transportation Association
The association works for the professional improvement of its members and to incorporate higher standards in operating and maintaining school transportation.
Membership is open to all employees of the county school bus garages and SDPI transportation personnel.

FPA is open to all WS/FCS principals. The organization works for the welfare of school children, to improve the educational opportunities for all, and to strengthen principals and their roles.

FAPA is open to assistant principals. It fosters professional support and development.

NCASA is open to all central office administrators, including superintendents, associate and assistant superintendents, supervisors and directors. It provides leadership for the improvement of education and promotes public interest in schools.
