Daily reading will improve comprehension, writing, and thinking skills.
I do not give much homework because the students will already have core class homework; however, I do recommend and encourage students to read a minimum of twenty minutes every day.
Students will have the opportunity to work on core class homework and projects for part of the ESL class. This provides each child an opportunity to ask questions and get any needed help. In addition, I am able to monitor and access if any student is struggling in his or her core classes and provide extra support.
