The Systems: The following systems will be covered in class this year. The order may vary from the order of listing. The time spent on each system may also vary.

1. The human body: an orientation-chapter 1 (1 week)

2. Cells the living units-chapter 3 (1 week)

3. Tissue: the living fabric-chapter 4 (1 week)

4. Bones and skeletal tissue chapter 6 (2-3 days)

5. The skeleton-chapters 7-8 (2 weeks)

6. Muscles and muscle tissue-chapter 9 (1 week)

7. The muscular system-chapter 10 (1 week)

8. Blood-chapter 18 (2-3 days)

9. The cardiovascular system- chapters 19-20 (1-2 weeks)

10. The respiratory system-chapter 23 (2-3 days)

11. The nervous system- chapters 11-15 (1-2 weeks)

12. The lymphatic system- chapter 21 (2-3 days)

13. Nonspecific body defenses and immunity- chapter 22 (2-3 days)

14. The digestive system- chapters 24-25 (2-3 days)

15. The special senses- chapter 16 (2-3 days)
