Inside the Classroom:
In the classroom, I try to bring in outside ideas into my lessons. In math, we will take experiences from everyday life and determine "When are we ever gonna have to use this?!" Because these two areas are so important and are used on a daily basis outside of school, I place specific emphasis on items your child will use "later on in life."
I moved to Winston-Salem, NC from Grand Rapids, MI in August of 2011 and am absolutely in love with the warmer weather here! I attended school in Grand Rapids until I went to college.
I graduated from Trine University (formerly Tri-State University) in Indiana in May 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Middle School Math.
Outside Hanes:
I am a HUGE baseball fan and love the Yankees - even though they lost to the Tigers.
I enjoy traveling and visiting different parts of the United States.
