Welcome to the K-1 Readiess class at Ward!
We welcome new and returning students and families to school for the 2012/2013 school year. This promises to be a busy and exciting year filled with activities designed to help your child learn and grow.
We begin our day promptly at 8:30 and appreciate the fact that you make it a priority to have your child here on time. The tardy bell rings at 8:45. You will need to get a tardy slip from the office if you bring your child to school after 8:45. Early dismissals need to go through the main office.
Breakfast is served in the classroom between 8:30 and 8:45 for those students who would like to eat breakfast at school.
Lunch for our class is from 11:30 to 12:00 in the cafeteria. You are always welcome to join us! You may purchase your own meal or bring a bag lunch to school. Picnic tables are available outside. We serve a small snack at 1:45 each afternoon. If you would like to send a snack for your child you are welcome to do so. Please send healthy choices such as fruit. If you would like to send a snack for your child to share with friends please let us know.
Your child is very important to me! I am available for telephone conferences after 4:00 on most school days. If you need to talk to me, please call the school office and they will let me know to return your call. You may also send a note through the daily folder or send an email to me. I check email several times a day.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions about your child's education plan. I look forward to working together to make this a successful and challenging year for all of our students.
