wins Dr. Ronald P. Simpson Merit Award
at the Magnet Schools of America Conference
in Tulsa, OK

The Dr. Ronald P. Simpson Distinguished Merit Award, considered the highest award
for magnet schools in the nation,
is give to only one school in the Magnet School for Excellence category.
Hanes Magnet Middle School was named a 2013 School of Excellence in February 2013.
Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools is proud to offer 17 magnet schools in grades K-12. Each magnet school offers a challenging curriculum and the support that students need to expand their horizons. Students have the opportunity to continue in a magnet program from kindergarten through grade 12.
