I'm Ms. Purvis, and this is my seventh year at Parkland.  I have taught all levels of English I and English II, and years one and two of IB English.  I have sponsored Freshman Board, Junior Marshals, and Student Court, served as department secretary and lab manager, and developed "pre-IB" English courses for Parkland ninth and tenth grade students interested in entering the IB program.
 
 
This year, I will be teaching IB English IV, English I seminar, English II seminar, and English IV honors.  I will also continue to sponsor Junior Marshals.
 
 
Tutoring is by arrangement with 24 hours advance notice; there is a calendar on the bulletin board in the classroom with my availability.  See the links on the left for information about the specific class in which you (or your student) are enrolled.
