Welcome to Parkland Magnet High School!  I am currently in my 19th year of teaching (all here at Parkland).  I also serve as and assistant wrestling coach for the 6-time defending State Champion Mustangs and as the General Knowledge coach for the Academic Team. 
 
 

Class Rules and Expectations:

Good attendance is expected unless there are extreme circumstances. Parents will be contacted after 3rd absence and informed of possible failures.

 
6 or more absences during an 9-week block class will result in failure of the class. 

Profanity and bullying will not be tolerated.

School handbook rules are expected to be followed.  The three biggest problems  I face are 1. Dress Code violators, 2. Cell phone/texting use, and 3. Tardies to class.

Please note that cell phone use/texting during class is unacceptable.  Parents need to call the office to check out the student.

Climate: Our air conditioning system is controlled from Central Office.  On very hot days the class may seem freezing. On very cold days class may seem hot.  Please dress accordingly.

*If you miss an assignment due to excused absence you must make up the first day you return to school.  If you miss assignments due to unexcused absences there is no makeup. Bottom LineCome to school!
