Brad Bullard Varsity Head Coach Coach Bullard will be in his 6th year as the head coach for the Titans. In 2014, the Titans claimed the NC 4A state championship. They also set a school record for wins in 2014 with a record of 29-6. Coach Bullard was named the NC Region 5 Coach of Year in 2014 as well as the NC Coach of the Year. In the last 5 seasons, the Titans have had 23 players move onto the collegiate level. Brad played for the 2002 Titan baseball team that competed for the state championship. He started in center field and earned All-Conference honors in 2001 and 2002. He went on to play college baseball at Belmont Abbey College from 2002-2004. He returned to West Forsyth in 2007 and assisted Coach Pope for 6 seasons. As head coach of the JV program for 2 years, Bullard combined for a 34-6 overall record. In Bullard's 11 seasons at West, the varsity team has won 1 State Championship, 1 Western Regional Championship, 5 CPC regular season titles, 2 CPC tournament titles, 1 WS/FCS tournament title, and has advanced to the state playoffs all 11 seasons. Coach Bullard and staff have accumulated over 100 wins the last 5 seasons.
Alex Yoder Varsity Pitching Coach Coach Yoder will return in the 2019 season as the varsity pitching coach. In the previous 5 seasons, he has sent 11 pitchers onto the next level. Coach Yoder was named the Assistant Coach of the Year for Region 5 in North Carolina in 2014. He had 3 pitchers named to the CPC All-Conference team in 2014 and one named to the NC 4A All-State team. Coach Yoder was previously the pitching coach at West from 2004-2007. He graduated high school from Alexander Central High School in 1993. That year, they finished runner up in the NC state 4A division. Alex earned all-conference honors in the '91, '92, and '93 seasons. He was named Northwest Player of the Year in '93 and also earned athlete of the year at ACHS. After the '93 season, he was named as a USA Today Honorable Mention All American. Coach Yoder also participated in the US Olympic Festival in San Antonio in 1993. Following high school, he went on to pitch for UNC Chapel Hill from 1994-1997. He was named a Northeast Collegiate All-Star in '95 and '96. He led the Tar Heels in innings pitched and wins during the 1996 season.Kyle Willard JV Head Coach Coach Willard will be in his 2nd year with the Titans in 2019 as the JV head coach. In Coach Willard's first season, the JV Titans went 17-1 overall while going 9-1 in the CPC and winning the CPC JV Championship. Kyle played outfield at West from 2008 - 2012. He then went on to play at Greensboro College from 2012 - 2016. He is currently teaching CTE classes at Clemmons Middle School. We are glad to have Coach Willard back as a Titan!
Jon McIntoshVarsity Assistant Coach Coach McIntosh is entering his 9th season as a coach for the Titans. Jon will be with the varsity team again this year after serving 5 seasons as the JV head coach. Coach McIntosh will coach first base and primarily work with catchers and infielders. Jon also played at West and helped lead the 2004 team to a Final 8 finish during his senior year. Before coming back to coach at West, Jon was the Head Coach at Cullowhee Valley Middle School in 2007 and 2008.
Michael MurrayJV Assistant Coach Coach Murray will enter his 1st season with the Titans and will assist Coach Willard with the JV squad. Michael has been involved with the baseball program at West for 10 years and has assisted in numerous ways. He has coached baseball for 22 years and brings an infectious personality and work ethic to the program. We are excited to have Coach Murray join the Titan Baseball coaching staff!Chris CoxVarsity Assistant Coach Coach Cox will enter his 1st season with the Titans and will be working with the hitters and infielders. Coach Cox brings a wealth of knowledge to the program. Chris played 4 years of varsity baseball at RJ Reynolds and graduated in 1989. He then went onto play at UNC where he started all 4 seasons for the Tar Heels and graduated in 1993. In his time at UNC, Chris was named ACC Player of the Week 4 times and National Player of the Week 3 times. He is still currently the 2nd all time leading home run hitter and 4th all time in career RBIs at UNC. After his senior season, he was then drafted by the Atlanta Braves.
